Basil

Beautiful, bountiful, fragrant green basil is sacred in India — in fact, she is a goddess named Tulasi. Women in India still worship Tulasi (holy basil), and in return she grants them husbands and children, good fortune and prosperity, and banishes evil spirits. She’s the original Wonder Woman, without the tall boots and slinky one piece. In ancient Rome, Basil was considered an aphrodisiac (but what wasn’t foreplay for those lusty Republicans?) The word basil comes from the Greek, a kingly root, and is also related to the basilisk, mythological serpent extraordinaire. Wearing basil promotes balance, absolves stress, and wards off evil; your own personal superhero.
