From fever dream to reality

The idea for Delicacies Jewelry came to me in a fever dream during a bout of Dengue Fever. As I dozed, I saw, quite clearly, a tiny, brightly polished garlic charm on my wrist. Upon awakening, Delicacies Jewelry was born.

I love the idea of ingredients and iconic foods as pretty, wearable tokens that bring us home, in an instant. Delicacies is about finding your center, with food as your guide. It’s about honoring and respecting simple ingredients, and recognizing a bit of ourselves in them. We are food lovers, storytellers, knowledge gatherers on a long journey. I hope you’ll come along.

Food as inspiration

Food is a way of knowing ourselves and relating to others. It’s a lens through which we see the world; a principle to organize the chaos, the noise, the suffering, the joys, the rituals, and everyday adventures. We can connect with different cultures through food, and afterwards realize that we aren’t so different after all. For all of us everywhere, the conversations we have over a communal meal bring meaning, order, and joy to our lives.

High quality ingredients

We work closely with our jewelry designers to create elegant homages to whole, simple ingredients and iconic foods. Each piece is thoughtfully crafted using recycled metals and cast in .925 sterling silver — never brass or bronze — then finished in rhodium or 14K gold plating for a refined, polished look. For those who feel especially connected to a favorite ingredient or signature food, designs are also available in solid 14K gold and even diamonds.
