MythologyBeauty, Creativity, and Love

Once upon a time in Bologna, Italy, the goddess Venus rented a room. Smitten with her radiance, the innkeeper spied on her through the keyhole, but all he saw was her navel. (After all, no mortal can look directly at a god.) Retreating to his kitchen, he channeled his vision through the materials at hand - eggs, flour, and salt - and invented tortellini, a tribute to a divine belly button.

In eating or wearing this shape, we connect with the divine, the ethereal. The tortellini represents a doorway to all of life’s beauty.
