MythologyWisdom, Peace, and Perseverance

The samosa likely arrived in India during the 11th century from Persia, where the golden triangle was filled with sweets and meats. Today, many versions are vegetarian, with a soft potato filling. Potatoes (unknown outside of their native Peru till the 1500s) were introduced to India by Portuguese sailors in the 17th century. In the samosa you can follow ingredients on their journey around the world for a nuanced story of our interconnectedness.

Learn the subtle art of unfolding over time by wearing this well-traveled and comforting Indian street snack.
